Washington Parks & People, Washington, DC; September 2002-April 2003

Project Coordinator

Coordinated ecological restorations of the 1.6 mile long Watts Branch Park in the Far Northeast, DC. Facilitated the work of over 1000 volunteers at the Josephine Butler Parks Center and in various city parks. Communicated directly with, or delegated volunteers and community members to contact, city officials regarding park advocacy, park maintenance and events and meetings.

United States Peace Corps, Morocco; August 2001-July 2002

Volunteer - Environment Sector

Collaborated with officials from the Ministry of Water and Forests on the creation of the new Eastern High Atlas National Park, for the protection of the Barbery Sheep. Conducted informal environmental and health education lessons with the inhabitants of the park. Served as the regional Gender and Development (GAD) representative.
