information : Caterpillars feed on the foilage of willows (Salix) and
poplars (Populus). Wingspan 4.7 cm. Forewing in strongly falcate, scalloped,
gray to pale brown with a red-orange median band and white postmedian line.
This noctuid is widely distributed in western North America. Moths fly throughout
the year, hibernating in winter.
